Reverses the direction of a valid phase ramp so it travels from the end of the cycle toward the beginning.

What it does

Ø Reverse turns an ascending phase trajectory into its descending counterpart. When this reversed phase reads an oscillator or sequence, the downstream shape or pattern is traversed backward.

Practical uses

  • Play a phase-addressed waveform, envelope, or data sequence backward.
  • Create opposite phase motion on selected stereo channels with Stereo-ness.
  • Switch between direct and reversed phase for alternating pattern direction.

Things to know

  • This reverses phase direction; it is not audio polarity inversion.
  • The module expects a proper phase-range input, so use Ø Wrap first for arbitrary signals.
  • The exact representation of the equivalent zero/one boundary can matter in static readouts.
  • Stereo-ness chooses which channels receive the reversal.

Technical details

No Nitro implementation has been confirmed for this visible module. The behavior is described conservatively from module metadata and editorial research.

The expected phase-domain transform is the circular complement out = wrap(1 - phase) on selected lanes. This describes the documented reversal but is not yet tied to a dedicated Nitro implementation, so endpoint representation and out-of-range handling are not claimed as code-observed.

Open questions

  • Measure phase 0, phase 1, out-of-range values, Stereo-ness lane behavior, and non-finite inputs.
