About This Soundscape #
Today I wanted to focus more on noise and sound in the Grid. Instead of splashes and rain sounds, I went for something a little more digital. To me, it sounded like uranium decaying, so I called the patch Uranium.
There are a few pad sounds and some white noise in the background. It turned into another epic ambient piece, but the idea is pretty simple: put on your headphones and spend an hour inside Uranium.
Inside the Patch #
Uranium is a generative Poly Grid patch made in Bitwig Studio. Six repeated sections combine noise sources with comb filters, Flanger+, and Phaser+. Random modulation supplies variation across the patch, while pitch shifting, chorus, all-pass delays, and long delays form its effects network.
