CV Pitch In receives an external control voltage through the configured hardware path, scales it over the selected octave range, places its center at the chosen Root note, and optionally smooths the result with a two-pole low-pass filter.

Practical uses
- Bring a Eurorack or other hardware pitch sequence into the Grid and use it to control an oscillator.
- Set Range and Root so the incoming voltage follows the intended pitch span and center note.
- Raise the smoothing amount when a noisy or stepped voltage creates unwanted pitch jitter.
Things to know
- The selected audio interface path must support the required control-voltage range; the module cannot add DC-coupling to hardware that does not provide it.
- Range and Root define how voltage is interpreted as pitch rather than merely applying a final semitone offset.
- The two-pole smoothing filter reduces rapid voltage changes and therefore also adds pitch glide or lag.
- No dedicated Nitro implementation is confirmed; hardware routing and calibration may be handled by the Grid host wrapper.
Technical details
No Nitro implementation has been confirmed for this visible module. The behavior is described conservatively from module metadata and editorial research.
The visible contract is an external-CV input followed by range scaling, a Root-based pitch offset, and a configurable two-pole low-pass smoother. Conceptually this is pitch = lowpass2(scale(cv, range) + root_offset). The exact voltage calibration, coefficient calculation, and host I/O boundary remain unconfirmed because the current Nitro name candidate is unrelated to the visible module.
Open questions
- Measure the exact volts-to-octaves calibration for each Range setting with a DC-coupled interface.
- Measure the smoothing cutoff response and whether parameter changes are themselves smoothed.
