The per-note gain expression for the current voice, centered at unity.
What it does
Gain In exposes Bitwig's note gain expression separately from velocity. It can change continuously during a note and is intended as a per-note amplitude multiplier or another expressive control source.

Practical uses
- Multiply a voice's final amplitude by Gain In so note gain expression reaches the sound.
- Route it to timbral depth when gain expression should affect more than loudness.
Things to know
- Unity is 1, not 0; recovered Note Out code clamps outgoing gain expression to 0 through 2.
- Gain expression is continuous note data and is distinct from note-on velocity.
- Sources without note gain expression normally remain at unity.
Technical details
No Nitro implementation has been confirmed for this visible module. The behavior is described conservatively from module metadata and editorial research.
The functional signal is a per-voice linear gain coefficient with neutral value 1. The recovered Note Out counterpart establishes the outgoing domain [0,2] and default 1, but the host-side input transport and smoothing have no dedicated Nitro wrapper.
Open questions
- Measure incoming range, smoothing, defaults, note-source support, retrigger, release, and voice stealing.
