Pressure In
Bitwig Platform
Unipolar per-note pressure, with channel aftertouch broadcast to all active voices.
What it does
Pressure In supplies polyphonic pressure or MPE pressure independently for each voice. If the source sends only channel aftertouch, Bitwig applies that shared value to every active voice on the channel.

Practical uses
- Open a filter or add vibrato independently while pressing individual keys.
- Use channel aftertouch as a common expressive layer when poly pressure is unavailable.
Things to know
- The nominal domain is 0 to 1.
- Poly pressure can differ per note; channel aftertouch cannot.
- Pressure is continuous after note-on and is not interchangeable with initial velocity.
Technical details
No Nitro implementation has been confirmed for this visible module. The behavior is described conservatively from module metadata and editorial research.
The host maps pressure to a per-voice unipolar scalar. Recovered Note Out code clamps the inverse output expression to [0,1] with default 0. Event rate, interpolation, and channel-aftertouch fan-out are host-side and not represented by a dedicated Nitro body.

- Measure update rate, smoothing, poly-pressure and channel-aftertouch precedence, release, and voice stealing.
