What it does

Pan In exposes note-specific horizontal position as a control signal. It lets every note or MPE voice occupy a different stereo position independently of the track's channel pan.

Practical uses

Things to know

  • The expected domain is -1 left, 0 center, and +1 right.
  • It is note expression, not the final track pan automation.
  • Sources without pan expression normally supply the neutral center value.

Technical details

No Nitro implementation has been confirmed for this visible module. The behavior is described conservatively from module metadata and editorial research.

The host supplies a per-voice bipolar scalar. The corresponding Note Out implementation clamps outgoing pan to [-1,1] with default 0, strongly establishing the domain; exact input smoothing and event interpolation remain host behavior.

  • Measure defaults, smoothing, controller mapping, note release, stereo cable representation, and voice stealing.
