Audio from a selected physical input configured in Bitwig's audio settings.
What it does
HW In bypasses the track's normal device input and exposes a chosen external audio input directly inside the Grid. It is intended for microphones, instruments, feedback paths, and outboard equipment.

Practical uses
- Process a microphone or synthesizer directly in an FX Grid patch.
- Return audio from external effects or construct a carefully controlled hardware feedback loop.
Things to know
- The path must be configured and available in Bitwig's audio settings.
- Round-trip latency and monitoring can create comb filtering or feedback.
- Ordinary audio inputs may be AC-coupled and are not interchangeable with reliable CV inputs.
Technical details
No Nitro implementation has been confirmed for this visible module. The behavior is described conservatively from module metadata and editorial research.
This is a host/hardware routing boundary with no documented signal transform. Driver buffering, channel layout, latency, and hardware calibration occur outside the Nitro graph.

- Measure latency, channel adaptation, monitoring, missing-device recovery, suspension, and feedback protection.
